I have just spent the last month traveling: San Jose, Boston, Japan and India. I don’t really like to travel, although that may not be apparent. I travel because I want to be with the innovators throughout the world. I visit small start up companies (I call them the “lunatic fringe” - I’ll get back to that thought later) and universities (you might say hitting two generations of “lunatic fringe” with one visit). What I am after are hints of what the future holds for our industry. This is my focus, but it is only one part of our global business.
